The layer closest to your skin is the one you spend the most time in each day.
So when choosing fabric, our first question is not how it looks, but whether your skin will still feel comfortable after a full day in it.
This season, we used two fabrics: Olea Rib and Neve Soft Sleek. Here are a few things we care about.
1. Start with the fibres
Olea uses modal, while Neve uses rayon. Both are regenerated fibres made from plant cellulose. They are soft and draping, cool and smooth against the skin.
A little elastane in each gives the fabric just enough stretch to move with your body and return to its original shape.
2. Look at the knit: equally soft, with two different personalities
Olea Rib: fine rib knit
Olea is a fine rib knit. Look closely and you will see narrow vertical ribs, with a little substance and spring. It gently wraps the body, bringing a touch of support to its softness: a fabric you can feel, without feeling squeezed.
Neve Soft Sleek: smooth knit
Neve is a smooth knit. Its surface is fine and even, without raised texture, and feels sleek against the skin. It rests quietly against you, like a second skin.
Each fabric has its own character. Wear Olea on days when you want to feel gently held, and Neve on days when you want to feel almost nothing at all.
3. Consider the details: every point of contact with your skin
Once the fabric is chosen, everything stitched onto it matters just as much.
- No underwires or back clasps: Bras in both collections pull on over the head, leaving one fewer hard point against your body.
- Cups stitched in place: The cups in our Bras and Bra Tops are sewn into the lining. They stay in place, and you do not have to put them back after every wash.
- 100% cotton gussets in our briefs: The simplest fabric for the most intimate part of your body.
- Flat finishes: Waistbands, leg openings, and hems lie flat, without rolling or digging in.
Care for it, and it will stay with you longer
Soft fabric needs a gentle touch. Hand wash, or use a laundry bag and a gentle machine cycle below 30°C. Use a mild detergent without bleach or fabric softener. Do not wring or tumble dry; lay flat to dry in the shade.
